The core of this work is an inquiry into the elasticity of musical material. The narrative of the piece unfolds as recurring gestural statements gradually establish a deformed ritualistic environment. The (seemingly) fractured materials converge into collective statement(s) which are repeatedly shattered and disguised. The exploration of materials of both noise and distinct pitch, alongside the tangible gestures that facilitate them, (hopefully) induce a compositional trajectory which is a sort of a pendulum swinging between moments of clear coherency and moments of cryptic progression.
